Pretty good May 10, 2011
By Jes I used to work as a kids ski instructor and this is what we'd use for the beginner kids at the ski resort. Definitely a lifesaver because it would help kids ski their first day on the slopes. They do come off every now & then, but not as often at the red "Lucky Bums Tip Clip" with the velcro. You will have to screw the "Easy Wedge" onto the skis tight, which does mark up the tips of the skis, but it's well worth it. Also you'll need to unscrew one side before getting in the lift line so the kids can widen their skis apart enough to shuffle up to the chair. You have to then reattach that side before heading downhill again. I find most kids are content & patient with this process. Sometimes kids won't wait at the top of the hill & take off! If they do, you just catch up to where they wiped out, or you discover they don't need them anymore.

Really helps the little ones Nov 26, 2008
By M. Jura I worked with my 4 year old daughter before using the easy wedge and she just didn't seem to be strong or coordinated enough to make a wedge herself. After installing the Lucky Bums Easy Wedge she took right off. Her skills improved rapidly from that point.

Great for little ones Feb 25, 2011
By Joel Bjorge Bought this for my 3-year old son for his first time skiing (along with the Lucky Bums ski trainer harness) and could not have been happier. As other people mentioned it will scratch up the top of the ski a little, but so what. I put it on as tight as I can and it's only come off once (in a crash). Does a great job of helping him keep his skis together as he learns. With this helping him he was able to ski the green runs on his own after just 3 hours. We took it off after a couple of runs the second time out and it was a lot harder for him to get down the hill, but I could see that he had the idea of how to keep his skis in a wedge so I don't think it will slow his learning by much, and it makes skiing now extremely enjoyable for him. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Very useful in teaching kids to ski Dec 28, 2010
By David Atkinson I have used several of the different versions of Easy Wedge that Lucky Bums makes. Overall, I have been very happy with this product and how it has helped my boys learn to ski. The reason I have had several versions of the Easy wedge is because two of them have failed on me. One time, the plastic clamp broke but they have revised the design and the plastic is now thicker and stronger. The second failure, the bungee broke. The reason I still give this product 4 stars is because both times the device failed, I called the company and they shipped me out a replacement...no questions asked and no charge. The second time they shipped me TWO replacements. So while the product may not be indestructable, the company definitely stands behind their product and has EXCEPTIONAL customer service.
With regards to the negatives others have said: 1) I have never had a problem with the clamp device coming off. Just tighten the set screw a little more. 2) Yes, the screw does slightly mar the top surface of the ski but so what? Have you ever seen a set of used skiis without scrathes on the top and bottom?

okay, not great Jan 27, 2010
By jamie It doesn't stay on the skis very well. And you will definitely ruin the tips of your skis trying to get it tight. But not a big deal for us since our skis are used junky hand-me-downs...
